The Implementation Specialist partners with internal staff, plan
sponsors, plan advisors and plan provider contacts to establish new
and existing plans and integrate them to the TRA system for third
party administration services at TRA. The position reports to the Plan
Implementation Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee implementation process for assigned Defined Contribution
and Defined Benefit clients by adhering to Plan Implementation
standards, policies and procedures
- Provide implementation support to TRA clients and internal
Implementation Specialists by completing team related Implementation
Specialist and Associate tasks
- Aggressively progresses plans through the implementation process
through proactive communications adhering to TRA’s customer service standards
- Supports the Implementation Department initiatives and procedures
through positive reinforcement with other team members
- Works closely with Sales team, plan sponsors, plan advisors and
plan provider contacts to establish new and takeover plans with TRA
to maintain relationships and provide excellent customer service
- Responsible for ensuring the plan advisor and plan sponsor are
having a predictable, positive implementation experience
- Helps guide plan sponsors and plan advisors with technical
regulatory compliance issues
- Facilitates transfer of plan assets through coordination of both
the timeline and required notices to all affected parties (TPA, plan
provider, participants)
- Coordinates conversion/allocation breakdown with administration
department as necessary
- Assists with researching and developing new and existing
relationships with plan providers
- Works with the Plan Implementation Manager to develop procedures
for each plan provider and assists with training TRA staff as
relationships and responsibilities change
- Serve as an Plan Provider Advisor (PPA) and/or Subject Matter
Advisor (SMA)
- Assists with developing and updating department policies and procedures
- Provides assistance to other team members as necessary
- Maintain an awareness of the laws, regulations, internal policies
and procedures appropriate for this position
- Outstanding TRA Corporate Citizen, dedicated to maintaining TRAs
reputation at all times in the communities we touch
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
